Hope Scarves

Hello again,
I Hope your Thanksgiving was as much fun as ours! In the usual tradition ours ran the gamut from turkey to birthday cake to bourbon balls to family pingpong challenge!
Candlelight Yoga is a go! It will be at the Montague Area Childhood Center, 9151 Dicey St., Montague. Starts at 7:00 to 8:15pm.
A good will offering is requested to help Hope Scarves meet its yearly pledge of $70,000.00  specifically for Metastatic Breast Cancer Research. As founder Lara Plewka Mac.Gregor says,”We’re way past the point of raising awareness. Cutting edge research is what saves lives!.”
The decision to hold the event again came after some soul searching about whether or not taking a break might be a good idea. However, in light of the fact that last year’s number of attendees was up we leaned towards going for it again. The fact that we lost one of our Circle of Hope, Lori Hesse, who was also active in yoga made it clear that we could not, not do it.
So for all who live life over cancer and for the research that one day will make a full life a reality for those facing it, I invite you to help us celebrate hopeful light at the darkest time!
Please use the flier to spread the word.
Hope to see you there,
Art Plewka

What does partnership look like?

It looks like Gilda’s Club Louisville winning the StyleBlueprint Louisville $5000 Charity Challenge after 4 weeks of back and forth fun competition with thousands of votes… and then SPLITTING the $5000 with Hope Scarves!

We are excited to put this money to work to strengthen our partnership with Gilda’s Club Louisville by sharing scarves and stories of hope with their members and coordinating joint programing to support women facing cancer.  A win-win-win!

Thank you to everyone who voted and spread the word. Big thanks to StyleBlueprint Louisville and Heidi Potter for this opportunity.  And thanks to Gilda’s Club Louisville for this gracious gesture.

Together we will help more people and have a deeper impact.  Isn’t that what it’s all about?
